12 weeks

I am glad I started telling all of my co-workers about my pregnancy last Thursday, cause when I came to work on Monday, this is what I looked like....

That would've been a hard explanation on Monday. We didn't have any dark backgrounds to take the picture in front of, so I improvised--with my jacket. And, I may have spilled several things on my shirt.

I am slightly worried about my size. Okay, maybe I am more than slightly worried. THIS IS MY FIRST PREGNANCY! Pregnant tummies aren't supposed to be that big at 12 weeks with your FIRST! This is what 5 months should look like-- according to all the books and websites. What is my large tummy going to look like when I am 30 weeks? People are coming up and touching my belly at 12 weeks already-- the next 28 weeks have me a bit worried. Are people going to come and talk to my stomach because I am, oh I don't know how to say it.....GIGANTIC?

The questions that are flying through my mind are:

Am I healthy?

Have I eaten too much mac n cheese?

Am I on track to gain 70+ pounds?

Is there just one in there?

Are they going to put me on bed rest?

Is the baby just laying funny?

Is my due date wrong?

Are there going to be clothes that will fit me in my third trimester?

What can I possibly squeeze into today to go to work?

But, the question that is stuck on repeat in my mind, currently, is WHY HASN'T MY DOCTOR CALLED ME BACK???!!! I want to go in and make sure I am healthy and that something isn't severely wrong.

I am driving myself crazy!

It's ok. It's probably just because you are small. You look so cute!!

Oh my dear, you are CUTE! But yes, quite big for 12 weeks!! I think that at 12 weeks there is no way that a baby can "lay" funny, but maybe the baby has company in there?

At any rate, just eat healthy and keep exercising...that way whatever you gain will be what you need to gain.

And the good news is that the stretchy under t-shirts should last through,, no matter how big you get.

I'm so excited for you!!!! (just relax)

You look great. I think it's just cause you are small to begin with! Soon enough all your sunbeams will be feeling your belly!

It's because you were already so tiny. There was no place for baby to hide. Not to mention the extra water and other fluids you retain during a pregnancy. You look DARLING! I would still want to hear back from the Dr. though. It's always the most reassuring. I'm SO excited for you.

Oh that makes me smile a little. Pregnancy is full of driving-yourself-crazy moments (or days/weeks at a time...). But I bet everything is just fine! Everyone gains weight differently in pregnancy and it usually doesn't mean anything except that everyone is different. But maybe, just maybe, you're lucky enough to have two! I think though that they would have already seen that with the ultrasound you had. Even if it's bigger than you want it to be, I think your pregnant belly looks adorable!!!

It's probably ok! I know all women are different. And you do NOT eat unhealthily- if you were hitting up McDonalds every evening, I'd be worried.

You are going to be so cute! And if you keep growing at this rate, you could always borrow Tiffany's maternity clothes... hehe

I don't really know much about pregnancy but I know if I saw you I wouldn't think "wow she's huge, she must be due soon!" I think it just looks like a cute little baby bump. :)

but how would you feel if it IS twins??? ah! I'm excited for you.

meh, it doesn't matter how big your tummy is but how big you look from behind. And your behind ain't saying you're even pregnant. So no worries. Congrats!

Congrats!!! Your tummy is soo cute! Don't worry about your tummy......I had to tell people when I was 5 weeks pregnant cuz my tummy looked like your at 5 weeks. Mine got big really soon but then stopped and didn't grow for awhile. Good luck with everything :)

You are so funny!! I think everyone goes through all those moments but just don't let it get to you!! I survived off of popcorn and nutella with Oakley and she came out just fine! And there will always be maternity clothes that fit you in the end, I just wore my husband clothes:) Good luck! I'm so excited for you!
